Adult Grilled Cheese
With everything going on in this CRAZY world right now, I’m CRAVING comfort food! It doesn’t get more “comfortable” than a grilled cheese sandwich! This grilled cheese is ELEVATED with bacon and a fresh slice of tomato – it is SERIOUSLY DELISH! This sandwich pairs AMAZING with Stubborn Brothers Brewery beer…just saying!
- 2 slices Brioche Bread
- 1 tablespoon Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoon Stonewall Kitchen Bourbon Bacon Jam
- 1 slice Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon, cooked
- 1 slice Dupont Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 3 basil leaves
- 1 slice tomato
Heat 1 tablespoon Butter Extra Virgin Olive Oil on medium-high heat in a medium-size skillet. Spread the Stonewall Kitchen Bourbon Bacon Jam on 1 slice of the brioche bread. Place that piece of bread “jam side up” on the hot skillet. Cut the piece of COOKED bacon in half, place them on top of the jam. Layer tomato, basil leaves and sharp cheddar on top of the bacon. Place the other slice of brioche bread on top. Cover and cook for about 2 minutes. Flip grilled cheese and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes (or until cheese is melted).
